Srđan Blagojević is no longer the head coach of FK Partizan.
Football Club Partizan and Russian Premier League side Akron have agreed on the transfer of head coach Srđan Blagojević.
Under the agreement between the two clubs, Football Club Partizan will receive the agreed compensation for the early termination of the coach’s contract. The club would also like to highlight Blagojević’s gesture during the separation, as he waived a portion of the outstanding payments owed to him.
Across two spells in charge of the team, Blagojević led the black-and-whites in a total of 49 official matches, recording 27 wins, 12 draws, and 10 defeats. However, his legacy cannot be measured solely by statistics.
During his tenure, a new generation of talented players from Partizan’s youth academy emerged at the club. Thanks to his willingness and courage to place trust in academy graduates, many young footballers were given the opportunity to take important first steps in senior football, with several of them becoming key parts of the club’s future.
Throughout his time at the helm of Partizan, Blagojević demonstrated a high level of professionalism, dedication, and respect for the club’s black-and-white colors.
Football Club Partizan thanks Srđan Blagojević for everything he has done for the club and wishes him the very best of luck and success in the next chapter of his coaching career.
Srđan Blagojević bids farewell to Partizan
The time has come to say goodbye.
The decision to leave Partizan was not an easy one, because this club has never been just a job to me. Every time I took on responsibility at Partizan, I did so driven by a sincere desire to help the club, believing that through collective effort we could contribute to its stability and future.
I was fully aware of the situation the club was facing. I understood that there are periods in the history of great clubs when success is not measured solely by trophies, but also by the ability to preserve stability, dignity, and faith in better days ahead. That is why, together with my coaching staff, I accepted a role that perhaps offered little room for personal promotion and no guarantee that our work would be universally recognized as successful, but I believed it was my duty to the club.
Throughout my time at Partizan, I did my best to be a source of stability during a period when stability was needed more than ever.
Today, I look back on that with great pride. I am proud that I accepted the responsibility of becoming Partizan’s head coach when the club needed it most and that I had the opportunity to serve a club that holds a special place in my heart.
I would like to thank all the players, members of the coaching staff, club employees, and everyone with whom I worked and shared responsibility on a daily basis. I am especially grateful to the Partizan management for the opportunity, understanding, and support they provided. A special thank you goes to the supporters, who even in the most difficult moments showed how much Partizan means to them.
I leave with respect for everyone and with a sincere wish that Partizan finds the peace, stability, and success that its history and supporters deserve.
Perhaps time will be the best judge of the work accomplished by all of us who were part of this period. I leave with a clear conscience, knowing that together with my staff I gave everything I had for the club I love.
Thank you for your trust, and good luck, Partizan.
