New No. 9: Erik Kojzek
The shirt with the number 9, worn throughout history by many great Partizan players, will be worn in the new season by Erik Kojzek, a young Austria U21 international.
Kojzek joins Partizan from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC on a one-year loan, with a contractual option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan spell.
Born on 2 January 2006 in Slovenj Gradec, Kojzek holds both Austrian and Slovenian citizenship. He is 195 centimetres tall and plays as a centre-forward. A young striker who has developed through Austrian football, Kojzek spent the previous seasons with Wolfsberger and is currently a member of the Austria U21 national team.
- First of all, I would like to thank Partizan and the club’s management for the trust they have shown in me. It is a great honour for me to join a club with such history, tradition and supporters. It is also a special honour to wear the number 9 shirt, a number worn by many great Partizan players throughout the club’s history. I know what that number represents and I want to justify it through hard work, attitude and goals.
Over the previous two competitive seasons, Kojzek made a total of 52 appearances for Wolfsberger and scored 14 goals. He has also represented Austria at U21 level, recording five appearances and one goal for the national team.
- I have heard many great things about Partizan, the atmosphere and the supporters. I like attacking football, a style of play with a lot of chances and goals, and Erling Haaland is one of the players I look up to. I cannot wait to step onto the pitch in the Partizan shirt, play in front of our supporters and experience the atmosphere I have heard so much about. Of course, I also know how much the Eternal derby means to this club and its supporters, and I look forward to the moment when I get the opportunity to be part of such a match.
Erik, welcome to Partizan!
