Partizan defeated Novi Pazar 1:0 (0:0) in the 11th round of the Mozzart Bet Serbian SuperLiga, with Brazilian forward Jeh scoring the decisive goal.
The powerful South American reacted brilliantly in the 81st minute to Nikola Čumić’s pass, slotting the ball past goalkeeper Bogdan Matijašević. It proved enough to keep all three points in Humska after 90 minutes of hard-fought action, during which both teams created opportunities to score.
However, the Black and Whites remained more focused and secured an important victory. What will particularly please head coach Saša Ilić is that substitutes secured the win for his team and that Partizan also kept a clean sheet.
Even before the assist provider and goalscorer combined for the decisive move, the Black and Whites had come close to finding the net against their opponents from Novi Pazar. Nikola Simić first struck the woodwork in the opening half, and Nikola Čumić did the same shortly before Jeh’s goal. Their efforts were finally rewarded in the 81st minute.
The joy of victory was further enhanced by Mario Jurčević’s return to the team after a lengthy absence, meaning head coach Saša Ilić will be able to count on him as an important option in the period ahead.
