New FK Partizan U19 manager Ivan Radovanovic attended latest edition of Partizan Interview. Radovanovic is a huge Partizan fan with almost 400 Serie A games under his belt and there`s no doubt his skills and experience will contribute greatly to Partizan`s young guns preparation ahead of their introduction to senior football.
36-year-old revealed what his emphasis on working with youngsters are.
“Partizan is a massive club very much respected around Europe, we only realize that when we leave the club. I talk a lot with young players and I want to work with them as if they are senior players as that`s the next step in their careers anyway. First of all, we work on tactical bits. Compared to Italians, we are physically more powerful while trained equally good in a technical department”.
Radovanovic is thrilled to see Partizan youngsters getting their senior team opportunities.
“My heart is full of pride when I see so many Partizan kids among seniors. It would be nice if they leave a legacy in black-and-white shirt, let`s imagine this generation playing a year or two together. Boss Blagojevic has a clear vision of what he wants to do. Kids are getting their opportunity and they showed they can do the job”.
Finally, Radovanovic spoke about his former teammate and friend Ibrahim Zubairu, who suffered a serious injury recently.
“I used to play with Zuba, then I coached him and worked a lot with him on tactical discipline. He is a great lad and I tried to help him. He`s on his own here and I`m sure it`s not easy for him but Partizan is family and he can count on us at all times. I didn`t expect him to adapt so quick and Partizan lost an important player to injury. Zubairu will recover and play even better next season”, said Ivan Radovanovic.
