Beograd, April 27
Partizan is back to winning ways after beating Radnicki 1923 3-1 at home.
Boss Blagojevic made two changes from a two-all draw against OFK Beograd – Ilic was back from one-game suspension while youngster Ugresic was deployed at left-wing as Partizan looks for solutions down the left flank in absence of injured Zubairu.
Milosevic has become regular upfront and he had a great opportunity on 9 with Radnicki keeper making two saves to prevent forward loaned from Stuttgart scoring. Visitors replied minute later with Cosic`s angled close range shot saved by Partizan keeper Jovanovic.
Partizan took the lead on 18 after a free-kick cross from Natcho and header into the net from Milosevic for his third Partizan goal – all three scored against Radnicki 1923. Partizan 1, Radnicki 0.
Former Partizan academy graduate Mircetic threatened Partizan net with a couple of long range shots wide while Kovac`s low strike on 30 was comfortably saved by Radnicki keeper.
Radnicki had the best opportunity of the first half on 37. It was unmarked header over the bar by forward Issa Bah. Meanwhile, couple of Partizan players needed medical treatment – Filipovic and Dragojevic – but they were both able to continue.
It was forward Milosevic who need to be subbed due to injury at half-time eventually with youngster Dusan Jovanovic coming in for Stuttgart loanee.
Radnicki equalized almost instantly after the break. Partizan lost possession outside the box and Issa Bah was served a through ball to show good composure inside the box and beat keeper Jovanovic with his clinical finish. Partizan 1, Radnicki 1.
Mircetic sent another long range drive on 51 while Natcho`s shot minute later was met by a block from Lijeskic.
Although Radnicki looked more comfortable on the ball early in the second half, Partizan restored the lead just before the hour mark. Youngster Ugresic scored his first Partizan goal after assist from another academy graduate Dusan Jovanovic. Ugresic beat the keeper with his angled drive into the far corner of the net. Partizan 2, Radnicki 1.
Vukotic was in for Kovac on 61 while Stankovski sent a measured edge of the box angled drive dangerously wide of the far post on 63.
Mild header from another Partizan youngster Dragojevic was comfortably saved by Radnicki reserve keeper on 76 while boss Blagojevic introduced Scekic for Natcho on 78. Mircetic was finally on target on 80 but keeper Jovanovic made a save. Partizan skipper between the posts was booked on 83 for alleged time-wasting.
Kalulu and Ugresic were subbed by Goh and Stjepanovic. It looked like Kalulu was still feeling his muscle problem he was subbed for in OFK Beograd game too.
Visitors searched for an equalizer but it was Partizan who scored deep into injury time. Dusan Jovanovic hit the post with his effort with Vukotic scoring on a rebound with a measured angled strike. Partizan 3, Radnicki 1, final score.
Partizan is away to Novi Pazar next Sunday for a SSL round 34 game.
